-- duncan austin miazza, born to peter and lea carson; two heroin addicts with no sense of parenting. he was officially take away fro them and became a child of the state when he was seven years old after being tied up in their basement with cigarette burns along his body. duncan's past, including the two years spent in the orphanage, is some thing he truly hates talking about. but, some times he'll talk about small shit with people that are truly close to him. he was adopted by tyler and nikki costa, a lesbian couple who have been married for seven years, when he was nine. it took him a total of two weeks to finally feel a part of their family and his life hasn't been very hard for him since. the women raised him in a life of anarchism, agnostic-atheism, vegetarianism, and feminism. growing up he was teased constantly for it, but he didn't care really until of course people turned it physical

-- at twenty two years old, he's a solo artist for pavlove records. he began making music in 2007 (age 16). his first exposure came through the internet, where he achieved success on myspace before issuing his first ep, the yippee ep on july 29, 2008. on july 30, 2006 he appeared on mtv's trl, where he performed his single "bigcitydreams." he toured with hellogoodbye and ace enders in the fall of 2008. it was announced on may 29, 2009, that duncan had signed to pavlove records, ending a major-label bidding war. the summer was ducan's first release under pavlove. and was released on june 23, 2009. the first single from the ep, titled "happy," was released on itunes on march 3, 2009. another ep, Never Shout Never was released in december 2009 and featured two songs from his upcoming debut album (what is love and jane doe), a re-recorded version of a song from the yippee ep (shesgotstyle), and a live version of a song from the yippie ep (bigcitydreams). the debut album from duncan, what is love?, was released in january 2010. duncan's second full length album, harmony, was released in august 2010. his third full-length album, time travel was released on september 20, 2011. his fourth full-length album, indigo was released november 13, 2012. he's currently working on his fifth full-length album.

-- besides all the music stuff, duncan is in a serious relationship with precious time lead vocalist eric messer. they had a rocky start but are pretty much perfect, and duncan is very much in love with him. touch eric, and you will die. these are just facts.
