CHILDHOOD jack was different than most boys in the neighborhood, he enjoyed sports and liked playing them but would rather play dolls and house with the girls or try to gossip about the new j-14 magazine with his older sister kaitlyn. jack's mom was nothing but loving to her son, however his father was pretty embarrassed by jack's femininity. one night after coming home to see seven year old jack in one of his sister's dresses, he back handed jack before giving his wife an ultimatum. fix jack and make him a man, or be a single parent. of course she didn't want to choose between her son being himself and her marriage, but told her husband that she wasn't going to change jack and with that being said jack's father had left. his relationship with his sister was rocky after their father left, jack always being the blame for it. now, they're close but jack still has that guilt for not being "normal" and making their dad leave.

YOUNGADULTHOOD when jack was a teenager he met alex parker. the two became almost instantly attached at the hip, claiming to be best friends only after a few days of meeting. jack had always had a crush on alex, but always hid it for obvious reasons. he feared losing his best friend because of his lifestyle like he lost his dad because of it. jack was the class clown in high school, but still only hung out with the weird alternative kids who chased each other around and collected comic books and read manga. however, he stayed close with alex all through high school despite alex's popularity. after graduation they got the band together with two other close friends, and the next thing he knew they were touring and just having the time of his life reaching his dreams.

PRESENT jack was hiding the biggest part of himself for a very long time, so swallowed his pride and came out to his best friend. after getting through that and dealing with some serious self harm issues, he also fessed up to being in love with alex. at first, alex was just a very supportive friend but when jealousy struck the both of them at a club jack realized alex was hiding something too. the two started seeing each other, and now it's just a serious bromance turned romance. touch alex, and you'll probably die.
